According to § 356 (5) of the German Civil Code (BGB), the right of withdrawal does not apply once a digital service has been fully performed and the user has explicitly agreed to this in advance.
The right of withdrawal expires in particular when:
– Services are provided immediately after ordering (e.g. writing, design, development)
– Digital or downloadable products are delivered
– Custom work is created based on individual client instructions
A cancellation is only possible before the freelancer has started working on the project and if:
– No work has yet begun
– No custom implementation has started
Clients may request cancellation directly from the freelancer via the internal messaging system or by contacting our support team.
Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:
– The service was not delivered as described
– The freelancer missed the agreed deadline
– The platform rules were violated during the order process
